About Us
Reputable & Trustworthy
Inspiration Computers opened in 2003 with the aim of supporting home users, and people who work from home or in small businesses. Lee and Alison wanted to offer great technical support, up-to-the-minute knowledge, and good customer service, but without being too geeky or full of jargon.
We have an excellent reputation with customers all over the country, backed up by online reviews. You can check these out on Google and our Facebook Page.
In 2022 we won the prestigious national title of “Which? Trusted Trader of the Year”.
In 2026 we closed our retail store to concentrate on bringing high quality support direct to customers.
Lee Grant
Lee has been building computers now for nearly forty years! He studied computing at University, and since 2003 has been enjoying running Inspiration Computers. No problem is too great or small for Lee to tackle. Lee is a Contributing Editor for PC Pro Magazine, where he writes a monthly column, and he also writes for Techfinitive and is a regular on the PC Pro Podcast. Lee loves being a dad, and likes ice-cream, motor racing, and his wife. But not necessarily in that order!
Alison Grant
Alison was dabbling in computers from the age of seven, when her computer-teacher Dad taught her to program a ZX80. Alison has a wealth of experience in PC building, repair, and web design. In her spare time Alison plays the piano and violin, and enjoys playing Roblox with the kids. After 23 years working alongside Lee, Alison is retraining to be a priest, and is currently a full time curate (trainee vicar) in Huddersfield, but still involved with the business supporting Lee.
